Summer School "Preparing Global Leaders Institute"

Venues: Struga (Macedonia), week 1 - Skopje (Macedonia), week 2
Period: August 11-21, 2013 - week 1; August 22-24, 2013 - week 2

Description

This August, Preparing Global Leaders Institute (PGLI) will hold its 2nd annual Summer School. The school will focus on the theme of leadership and provide the students with a valuable training. The courses will cover the psychology of leadership, public speaking, political economy, diplomacy and foreign policy. Students will be able to put their instruction into practice through exciting constitutional, diplomatic and business simulations that will foster important leadership skills and help prepare them for real-world challenges. Upon completion of the summer school, delegates will receive certificates from PGLI and FON as future global leaders.

 

Eligibility

Given the upcoming deadline, the application is still open only for citizens of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine, as they do not need VISA to enter Macedonia during the period between March 15, 2013 and March 15, 2014. More info about visa and application can be found on PGLI website.

 

Application Procedure

Applicants should provide the following documents:

  • Application form
  • Passport photo (jPEG format)
  • Curriculm Vitae (recommended)
  • Letter of Support (optional)

The application form should be sent to admissions@pglinstitute.org  with "PGLI 2013 ApplicationForm" as subject title. Please note that admission to the institute is made on a rolling basis, therefore earlier applications will receive more consideration.

Costs and Scholarship

Self-financed students pay the full cost of the program which is 1000 EUR (covering tuition fees, accommodation, full meal plan, special events, sport facilities, vocational trips, and transportation Struga-Skopje).

Students may apply for scholarships given by PGLI. Scholarships are based on merit, civic involvement, and motivation. Applicants who wish to apply for a scholarship should attach a brief scholarship statement to their application.

All participants are responsible for travel arrangements and associated insurance and VISA costs (if needed) to Macedonia.
