The Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies (AABS) is organising a conference to discuss and focus social, cultural and historical issues related to the Baltic region. The conference's main aim is to consider the Baltic region from a broad, multicultural, and multiethnic perspective.
The AABS welcomes individual paper and panel proposals, which must be submitted by December 1, 2007. This interdisciplinary conference welcomes participants from disciplines including (but not limited to): Linguistics, Literature, Political Science, International Relations, Law, History, Memory, Psychology, Sociology, Demography, Cultural Studies, Religion, Anthropology, Communication, Education, Gender Studies, Ethnic Relations, Environment and Public Health, and Advancing Baltic Studies.
Papers and panel proposals should include a 250 to 350-word abstract and a 1-2 page Curriculum vitae.
