Contemporary moralities are becoming more complicated systems of valid as well as challenged principles, rules, norms and values. Presence brings along new moral issues and dilemmas in our professional, but also everyday life. The issues are very often discussed in connection with the crisis of morality and moral values.
Themes include:
- Theoretical reflection of contemporary moral problems
- Contemporary philosophical theories of morality
- Comparison of contemporary moralities with moralities in the past
- Morality from the point of view of sociology, psychology, ethnology, theology and other disciplines
- Moral issues in contemporary applied ethics
- Comparing the moral systems of various cultures
- Morality in Slovakia, in Central Europe and in the world
