Guida ai paesi dell'Europa centrale orientale e balcanica - Edizione 2001

La Guida ai Paesi dell'Europa centrale, orientale e balcanica. Annuario politico-economico 2001 è edita dal Centro in cooperazione con il Centro Studi di Politica internazionale di Roma.
La Guida riporta notizie su 22 Paesi ( dalla Russia alla Turchia, inclusa la Grecia, Cipro e tutte le Repubbliche europee della ex Unione Sovietica e dagli Stati baltici al mare Egeo) con dati macroeconomici, informazioni politiche, analisi sulle relazioni regionali e internazionali e una breve presentazione storica.
Oltre ai reports sulle nazioni, ci sono latre due specifiche sezioni: la prima è costituita da un gruppo di brevi articoli che commentano i più importanti eventi dell'anno presedente( elezioni in alcuni Paesi dell'area Balcanica); il secondo contiene un largo spettro di analisi di un argomento in particolare: quest'anno si parlerà del ruolo della politica italiana a favore dell'allargamento europeo ai Paesi dell'est.

Stefano Bianchini is Professor of East European Politics and History at the University of Bologna, School of Political Science "Roberto Ruffilli", Forlì campus.
He is also the scientific co-Director of the European Regional Master in Democracy and Human Rights of the Universities of Sarajevo and Bologna, the Director of the Institute for Studies on East Central and Balkan Europe, at the University of Bologna and currently Vice president of the Association for Studies of Nationalities (ASN) based at the Harriman Institute, Columbia University.
Since 1992 he is the central coordinator of the «Europe and the Balkans International Network».
Stefano Bianchini is also a Member of the AAASS (the American association of Slavic Studies), the AIS (The Italian Association of Slavic Studies) and other associations.

Marta Dassù, specialist in International Relations and Italian foreign policy, is editor of Aspenia and Director of Policy Programs, Aspen Institute Italia.
She has been foreign policy advisor to Italy's Prime Minister (1998-2001).
She was previously Director of CeSPI (Centre for International Political Studies).
She teaches a course on "new conflicts and the role of Media" at the Rome University "La Sapienza".
She has published extensively on specialized Italian and European journals, and she has been editor of various books, including the most recent "Conflicts in the XXI Century" (Aspen Institute, 2002).
