Venue: Amman, Jordan
Period: May 23 - 29, 2016
The Preparing Global Leaders Academy (PGLA) is a premiere international educational program for the best young professionals in the world. The program seeks to prepare aspiring global scholar-leaders with the tools that are necessary for effective leadership in an increasingly complex world. PGLA is a component school of Preparing Global Leaders Foundation (PGLF), an educational non-profit dedicated to changing the paradigm of leadership through intensive institutes, seminars, and summits. PGLF operates programs currently in Russia, Macedonia, Croatia, and Jordan and its program alumni hail from over a hundred countries.
Students and young professionals take short courses from internationally recognized faculty and participate in a range of leadership simulations. Specifically, participants will learn how to develop an opposable, interdisciplinary mind with an ability to work with and across ideological, national, religious, class and racial differences. They will learn how to communicate effectively, think both critically and creatively with a particular emphasis on how to advance the global public good.
PGLA 2016 curricula and simulations will cover the following topics: negotiation, strategic thinking, public speaking, networking, persuasion, branding, and public policy.
Applications are considered and decisions rendered on a rolling basis. Although May 1, 2016 is the final deadline to apply, we encourage students to apply as early as possible as many spaces will be filled prior to the May 1, 2016 deadline. Students seeking financial aid to offset a portion of their tuition should apply by April 1, 2016. Applying early will also allow students to book flights earlier and will allow more time to obtain a visa if necessary.
Tuition for PGLA 2016 is $1000 (USD).
Deadlines:
April 1, 2016 – priority scholarship application deadline
May 1, 2016 – regular application deadline
Please note, PGLF is not responsible for visa procurement and does not handle country-specific details. You are, therefore, expected to research the details and deadlines for the visa application yourself prior to applying for PGLA to ensure you receive the visa in time, should you be admitted.
