2016 International Summer School in Comparative Conflict Studies

Venues: Center for Comparative Conflict Studies at the Faculty of Media and Communications (FMK), Singidunum University, Belgrade
Period: June 27 to July 4, 2016

The 7th International Summer School in Comparative Conflict Studies provides a learning opportunity for students interested in study and analysis of societies in and post-conflict. Interdisciplinary in its nature, drawing from the fields of Conflict Analysis and Resolution, History, Philosophy, Anthropology, Law and International Relations, the Summer School in Comparative Conflict Studies provides students with an interactive learning experience utilizing frontal lectures and class discussions focusing on comparative conflict analysis of different case studies.

The Courses

Costs

2016 Summer School fees includes the following:

Course Tuition
- includes access to all reading materials before and during the Summer School, and participation in all additional Summer School activities;
Daily Meals - includes daily lunches during the Summer School week (6 days) organized by CFCCS.


Total Fees:
Reduced Tuition: 230 Euros for applicants from Albania, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia as well as students from Conflict/post-Conflict countries;
Full Tuition: 430 Euros for all other applicants.
FMK Students: 50 Euros
Registration and payment schedule

Application registration: Upon acceptance to the Summer School, applicants who wish to reserve their place in the course they chose, will have to confirm their participation by paying the registration fee of 200 Euros for Full Tuition applicants, and 100 Euros for Reduced Tuition applicants.

The rest of the payment is to be made upon arrival in Belgrade during the Summer School registration session on June 27, 2016.

Scholarships

This year CFCCS has a small scholarship fund available to promising and eligible applicants. We are now offering 5 tuition scholarships to eligible and strongest candidates who will be selected on a rolling basis.

To apply for the CFCCS Tuition scholarship

If you are eligible to apply for the CFCCS Scholarship, please follow the following steps:

1. Submit your application form for the 2016 International Summer School;
2. After your application for the Summer School has been completed and submitted, please email summerschool@cfccs.org requesting access to the CFCCS Tuition Scholarship application form.

CFCCS tuition scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis as applications are received and processed, until the scholarship fund has been fully distributed. The earlier you apply for the 2016 Summer School and CFCCS scholarship, the greater your chance of receiving a scholarship.

Who can apply for the CFCCS Tuition Scholarship?

Prior to your email requesting the CFCCS Tuition Scholarship application form, please make sure you are eligible to apply:

1. CFCCS tuition scholarships is only offered to students currently registered in an academic program: student must be enrolled in a graduate degree program or a 3rd or final year undergraduate program;
2. CFCCS tuition scholarship is available only for students who will attend the course for ECTS credit;
3. CFCCS tuition scholarship is available for students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia;
4. Strong applicants from other societies in/post-conflict may be considered.

The following conditions of participation will apply to selected candidates:

1. Full participation in the summer school course of your choice and additional activities throughout the week;
2. Completion the course requirements to receive full credit for your participation (which you may opt to transfer to your home academic institution) [in order to complete course requirements students need to submit a paper after their participation in the course as defined by the course instructor].

Please note: The CFCCS scholarship does not include travel or accommodation funds!
