Description: UKSW is a public university,whose origin dates back to 1954 when it bore the name of the Academy ofCatholic Theology. Since 1999 it has been acting as the Cardinal Stefan WyszyńskiUniversity in Warsaw (UKSW). Currently, the university educates more than 16000 students of 28 fields of study. be launched new fields of study:journalism and social communication, and philology with a specialization inClassical studies. Studies are carried out in a full-time system (studies freeof charge) and a part-time system, both in a long cycle system (master’sstudies) and in a first cycle and second cycle system of studies. The UKSW alsooffers professional qualifications in postgraduate and doctoral programs. Mostof the fields of studies conducted are certified by the quality of educationissued by the University Accreditation Commission and the State AccreditationCommission. Our students have the opportunity to go on foreign grantsto over 60 universities in Europe in the framework of theErasmus programme and national scholarships to 19Polish universities under the MOST Programme for student mobility.Students who, in addition to didacting classes, may actively engage themselvesin numerous student scientific associations, student organizations orstudent self-government. The University also has an active Academic theaterand Choir. The attractive scholarship system makes the UKSW studentsare paid more than six thousand social benefits of welfare facilities.
The University is one of the members of the"U 10" group, bringing together universities which are friendly topeople with disabilities. Rector's Plenipotentiary for Persons with Disabilitiesassists in solving problems related to the functioning of persons withdisabilities at our University. It provides information about programs forthese persons, as well as information about events, meetings, and universityfestivals. We also offer assistance in registering for studies.

UKSW conducts the education at two main campuses: the Street Dewajtis 5at Bielany and at Street Wóycickiego 1/3 at Młociny.In the first place, except the classrooms there are located: the Main Library,the central administrative offices, a student canteen. At the campus of Młocinythe modern Center for Education and Interdisciplinary Research is located wherenext to the classrooms and the workshop there will be a sports andentertainment hall. In some departments e-learning system isto enrich and supplement the classes taught with traditional methods (lectures,exercises and seminars). Distance learning allows you to place primarily in oneplace materials for students, both from lectures and from classes. It alsoenables interactive text commentary, moderating the discussion both amongstudents and a teacher or a student, and efficient verification of the capturedknowledge by tests and written works.
