Conference venue: Oradea, Romania
Period: November 12-14 , 2014
Deadline for submitting abstracts: September 1, 2014
Deadline for submitting full papers: October 15, 2014
The purpose of the conference is to present the latest research on people, places and events that are neither well known to the general public, nor featured or debated in the mainstream books or conferences on the Reformation, but which had a local impact on the emergence and development of the Reformation in Eastern Europe, in the fields of religion, politics, social life, culture, and economics.
The conference aims to give a voice, at least to some of the people and events that shaped Eastern Europe throughout the Reformation, and who influenced the ideological development of Europe since that time up to the present day. The main question is: who are the people and which are the events that mattered, but no one knows about?
The language of the conference is English.
The abstract of the paper must have at most 400 words, followed by 5 (five) key words, and a short autobiography of the author, containing the name, date of birth, institutional affiliation, academic degrees and an e-mail address.
The papers must have between 5000 and 8000 words.
The papers must be formatted according to the Sage for Harvard style or download the SAGE Harvard style for Zotero users.
The best articles will be included in a special issue of Perichoresis, the theological journal of Emanuel University, which is published by Emanuel University Press in conjunction with Walter de Gruyter (in the Open Access system).
The publication of the papers does not depend on participation, but only on the acceptance by the editorial board.
The proceedings of the conference will be published by the Emanuel University Press.
