The European Leadership Conference on The Contribution of Families to Peace, Human Development and Prosperity is the 12th of a series held in the last years in different locations around Europe.
The conference will discuss the role of families within society relating to peace and the spread of positive values. Specifically, participants will address the issue of how families establish norms of ethical behavior and responsible citizenship and their impact on society.
Moreover, the family is seen by many scholars as a factor that positively contributes to human development. Family could help integration and harmonization among different ethnic groups, nations and cultures by representing a micro model for peace-building.
Finally, participants will discuss how families play a fundamental role in critical situations, as they provide a safe environment for its members.
The conference will be attended by representatives from governments, religious institutions, universities, the media sector and private firms. The venues of the conference will be the International Labor Organization and the "Palais des Nations".
Participants will be requested to pay a fee of 320 €. This will include two nights stay in a twin – bedded room , conference meals, transport and all aspects of the programme.
