International Summer School in Anthropology, Ethnography and Comparative Folklore of the Balkans

Venues: Konitsa (Greece)
Period: Jul. 25 - Aug. 9, 2012
Application deadline: May 15, 2012

The summer school is divided into two sections, with different modules offered in each section. Between the two sections all participants will join a week-long field work excursion in Greece and Albania. Courses offered range from "Rituals, Symbols and Identities in Rural and Urban Contexts" to "Soundscapes of the Balkans: Flocks and Local Feasts, Rock-Bands and Radio Waves." How to apply to the Summer School

Eligibility

Eligible to apply are undergraduate, MA and doctoral students from any Balkan, European or other country. All accepted students will be required to pay the conference fee of 250 Euro upon arrival in Konitsa.

Application

Deadline for the submission of application and the reference letter is May the 15th 2012. The application form can be downloaded from the conference website here. All applicants will be notified by the end of May 2012.
