On May 4-5, 2012, the IARCEES Annual Conference on "Russian-East European Relations: From Tsarism to Gazprom" was held in Cork (Ireland). Its rich program included a guest lecture by Dr. Peter Duncan, Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Russian Politics and Society at UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies. A paper titled “From Concentration to Competition: The Struggle for Power between the Kremlin and Gazprom through the Study of TNK-BP and South Stream”, written by Paolo Sorbello and Ludovico Grandi of the Energy Policy Studies group, was presented at the conference.
