SLOVO, the Russian Literature Festival in London organized by Academia Rossica, will take place on April 16-20, 2012.
In the programme entitled “Confronting Contradiction” five of Russia’s leading contemporary writers - Boris Akunin, Zakhar Prilepin, Alexander Kabakov, Irina Muravyova and Alex Dubas – will be joining British writers and journalists for a series of unique talks debating issues within contemporary literature and today’s Russia. Independent journalism, literature and politics, youth and politics are among the topics to be discussed at the Festival.
The program includes a screening of the movie “Spy”, a film adaptation of on of Akunin’s best known novels. The author himself will introduce the show.
