The Moscow Summer School on Human Rights is promoted by the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Russia) and University of Bologna (Italy). Leading specialists of the human rights field in Russia and Europe will profess in the framework of the School. The courses are about human rights protection in Europe, studies of such rights as freedom of assembly and expression, rights of children, respect for the European convention on human rights, execution of the European Court of Human Rights, the relations between the EU and the European Convention on Human Rights.
The participants will get skills for analyzing the activities of the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights and deep understanding of common values, supporting the integration of European countries
The members of the School will participate in group discussions. In addition, the program involves the organization of several study visits in the most prominent Russian human rights organizations (the Moscow Helsinki Group, Memorial, Sakharov’s Centre).
The participants will get 3 ECTS credits for the study activities.
The tuition fee is 350 euro (including residence in Moscow) or 100 euro (excluding residence in Moscow).
