Description of the Conference

The fourth meeting of the International Forum on Political Economy of Energy in Europe and Russia (PEEER) is being jointly organized by the Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) and the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (Dundee, UK).

The Conference, which will be held in the city of Perm (the Ural Region, Russia), aims at bringing together about 100 leading oil and gas experts, industry representatives, government officials and academics from UK, US, Russia and other countries.

Eligible topics for the conference

Discussion at the conference will be around various aspects of the problem of sustainable development in the energy sector, including such as issues as transparency and revenue management, resource audit, mitigation of environmental impacts, natural gas production and transportation, and mechanisms of renewable energy promotion.

  • Political economy of sustainable development
  • Economic models in analyzing sustainable development
  • Legal and regulatory issues of resource exploitation and revenue management    
  • Environmental aspects of energy production

 

Guidelines for submission

Abstracts should be written in the English language and should not be more than 500 words.  The deadline for abstracts is 20th February 2012. Results will be announced by 10th March. You can send your abstract by email to belyiand@hotmail.com
