Journal: Study and Research Journal
Period: 2012
Deadline for submitting papers: Apr. 30, 2012
The Holocaust was the state-sponsored systematic persecution and annihilation of European Jewry by Nazi Germany and its collaborators between 1933 and 1945. Jews were the primary victims. Six million were murdered; Gypsies, disabled persons, and Poles were also targeted for destruction or decimation on racial, ethnic, or national grounds. Millions more, including homosexuals, Jehovah?s Witnesses, Soviet prisoners of war, and political dissidents also suffered grievous oppression and death under Nazi Germany.
The journal is the first scientific publication in Romania having the following main purpose: to introduce the results of systematic research on archival documents, testimonies, etc. to the intellectual space, to include the Romanian research on these subjects in the international arena, to offer complementary material to the academic environment and to supply continuous support to research efforts in this area.
Our particular interest is on archival and testimonies research papers, case studies and book reviews that address these issues primarily in the Romanian context, but also the European one. Important to mention is the fact that in 2011, 70 years were commemorated from the pogrom of Jews in Iasi and the deportation of Romanian and Ukrainian Jews to Transnistria.
