The conference will welcome contributions on all areas of contemporary European Studies from across academic disciplines including law, economics, geography, history, sociology, public policy and politics. Proposals from established academics, practitioners and well-prepared doctoral students will be accepted.
The UACES Collaborative research network "Romanis in Europe" (http://romanis.eu/) is calling for papers on Romani migration. Papers on all aspects of migration, interaction between host/sending communities and Romanis, as well as on (the limits of) integration of migrant Romanis are welcome. The CRN is specifically interested in Romani issues, but also welcome contributions on push and pull issues involving Traveller communities. Case, country and disciplinary comparisons are particulartly welcome.
The general conferene deadline for submission of panels and papers is 20 January 2012. For paper submissions to the Romani in Europe panel: paper proposals of max 300 words should be sent to passau2012@romanis.eu by December 15.
