Description: The Antall József Knowledge Centre (AJTK) is a foundation that was established in collaboration with the Corvinus University of Budapest. Mrs. József Antall announced the foundation of the Knowledge Centre during the opening of the Antall-Building in Brussels in 2009; although the actual work of the Centre began only in May, 2010.
The Knowledge Centre is an organization independent of current politics, parties and ideologies; its primary objective is to foster the Antall tradition and spirit by means of education, research and publication. The foundation is named after József Antall (1932-1993), Hungary's first freely-elected Prime Minister.
The Knowledge Centre puts a great emphasis on talent research and development. Scientific work is based mainly on BA, MA as well as PhD students. In our internship program, approximately 20-30 enthusiastic students help the Centre in organizing events and managing tasks. This does not only contribute to their diverse professional development, but they also have the opportunity to meet international experts and think-tanks.
The Antall József Knowledge Centre is engaged in a number of activities, ranging from the organization of conferences to education, research and pulishing. Education programmes are focuses on foreign policy and diplomacy, aiming at providing students with first-hand knowledge of this sector. Conferences, research and other activities of the Knowledge Centre address a variety of issues in social and political sciences, including European integration, cooperation between the countries of the Visegrad Group and the legacy of József Antall.

Description: the Center for the Research of Ethnicity and Culture (CVEK) is an independent research and educational institute that was created in 2005 and is focused on research and analytical activities in the sphere of broadly understood culture and ethnicity. CVEK is contributing to expert activities and fostering of an expert dialogue in the sphere of minority issues, social exclusion, strengthening of a social cohesion, social construction of ethnic and cultural identity, race and ethnicity issues, and development of cultural activities and media space in Central European context.
CVEK as a research Institute develops mostly sociological expertise. Activities of the CVEK are both academic and practical policy analysis in all spheres of interest. CVEK utilizes qualitative and quantitative methods of data analysis.
In its activities, the Center for the Research of Ethnicity and Culture fosters publication activities, organizes seminars, conferences, and workshops, works on expert standpoints and public-policy materials, and is devoted to consultancy activities. CVEK is personally and scientifically linking up on good traditions of research and analytical activities of the Program of national minorities of the Institute for Public Affairs Bratislava (1999 - 2005).

Description: The Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe – Institute of the Leibniz Association is one of the central facilities of historical East Central European research in Germany. The Institute is a member of the Leibniz Association.The Institute focuses on the history and culture of Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Kaliningrad region. The Institute offers one of the best specialist libraries in this field and maintains extensive collections. It conducts research and development projects and organises conferences, workshops and lectures. A program of scholarships enables researchers to conduct research for periods between one and three months. The numerous publications of the institute’s own publishing department include the Zeitschrift für Ostmitteleuropa-Forschung (Journal of East Central European Research).

Description: The Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) in Regensburg is a non-university-affiliated research institute which was founded on January 1st, 2012, as a result of the union of the Eastern European Institute and the Institute for South East European Studies. The IOS continues the work of these two institutions, both steeped in tradition, in a new form. It distinguishes itself by the pooling of historical and economic expertise and the research on Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
