Venue: Rome (Italy)
Period: July 13-19, 2010
“Drawings (in)justice” is an exhibition dedicated to the famous Russian prisoner Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his business partner Platon Lebedev, inaugurated in Rome and already displayed in Brussels, in Washington and, very soon, in Berlin.
The images were created by Boris Zhutovsky and Katia Beliavskaia, artists that, despite having a large age gap – the former 78 years old, the latter 29 – and very different training, have used the infamous court case of these two businessmen as their inspiration, transforming it into pictures with explicit titles such as “Prosecutorial Alphabet”, “Lullaby”, “Film Noire”, “Outsider”, “Behind the Glass” and “The Courtroom”.
