The aim of the Venice School is to allow participants to be updated on the state-of the debate on human rights issues and to stimulate a reflexion on the actual challenges faced by human rights actors worldwide.
After a first session common to all participants dedicated to a general introduction on international systems of protection of human rights and related mechanisms, the programme will develop into the three thematic areas among which participants will have to choose:
- Human Rights as Our Responsibility, focused in particular on the role of civil society and on the responsibility to protect (see the program);
- Human Rights and Business, with the aim to provide a balanced view covering both the legal framework and corporate practice (see the program);
- Human Rights and Climate Change, focused on the globalisation and on the global environmental issues (see the program).

All courses will be held in English, therefor it is essential that all participants understand and speak English fluently.
The registration fee is 850 Euro and it includes enrollment fee, accomodation, lunches and all reading materials.
The organizer does not offer scholarships or waivers of the registration fee.
