The Global Crisis and Regional Governance in the Balkans: Is There a Threat to Stability?”

Envisaged as the first academic activity going to introduce the starting of a new PhD programme in “Diversity Management and Governance”, the conference was organized as a workshop for both PhD candidates and the general public interested in focussing the topic of security and stabilization in the Balkans.
In particular, the seminar aimed to discuss about the political and social impact of the world and economic crisis on security and stabilization in the so called Western Balkans.

Mr Leonas Tolvaišis, Academic Tutor of the Interdisciplinary Master's in East European Research and Studies and PhD candidate at Vytautas Magnus University at Kaunas (Lithuania), attended this international seminar and wrote a report on the three sessions of the conference.
