This area offers a wide range of continuously updated news regarding both academic and cultural events together with academic calls and study programs
Venue: Mali Lošinj (Croatia)
Period: April 21-25, 2010
At present rural tourism is growing and challenges about it are enormous but achievable. In particular, in the case of Croatia important steps in this framework were the "Coalition Agreement of the Republic of Croatia" for the period 2007-2011, wich establishes the construction of 300 new tourist family farms, and the "Declaration on Rural Tourism", signed on April 2008 by many croatian cities in order to encourage the rural tourism.
In this context, the congress aims to underline some particular aspects in the field such as: rural area as a rural tourist destination; the role of cuisine in the development of rural tourism; multi-sector tourism clusters in rural areas; marketing and branding of rural tourism; examples of good practises. Moreover guidelines for the future creation of a strategy for the development of rural tourism in the Republic of Croatia will be discussed.
More information about the objectives and the program of the congress are available on the congress website.
The speakers list will be available later.
People wishing to participate to the congress will have to pay a participation fee and register online. More detailed information are available at the congress website.
