This section focuses mainly on explaining the evolution and transformation of Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkan countries' political systems.
The aim is to offer researchers and generic users a solid framework, which can allow a better understanding of the past and ongoing democratisation processes in the region. It is largely done by interconnecting the characteristics of post-communism, the European Union enlargement process and post-conflict reconstruction in the Western Balkans.
PECOB collaborators have a wide background in a range of topics. This allows us to offer their assessments of CEEB policies with a comparative and interdisciplinary approach. Moreover, both the existing and the prospective policy trends in the CEEB region are discussed and analysed.
