Name in Uzbek: Birlik

Founded in 1988 is a democratic Party. Born as opposition organisation. Soon after Uzbekistan’s independence in 1991, Birlik became an illegal party. In 1992 the leader of Birlik, Abdurahim Polat, left the country. Five times they tried to register as an official political Party, but the Ministry of Justice rejected all the applications.
