Kosova Foundation for Open Society

Kosova Foundation for Open Society is a local and non-governmental organization, being part of the international network of foundations financed by philanthropist George Soros.
 
It has been present in Kosovo since 1993 and it is active in the fields of education and youth, civil society, media, human rights, women protection, and other fields. Furthermore The Kosovo Foundation for Open Society works to strengthen government institutions and to further develop an open society within Kosovo. Its plans in fact focus on the rights of minorities, civic participation, governance, and education.

At present its main programs are the promotion of European integration, civil society, protection of minorities, East-East Partnership Beyond Borders.
