The Slovenian Democratic Party is a centre-right, liberal-conservative one formed in 1989. It is currently the main opposition party in the country. It is led by Janez Janša, former Prime Minister of Slovenia. The party is member of the European People's Party and occupies 2 seats in the European Parliament.
