The EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy will organize the European spring school 2009 to bring international students to Prague for an intensive ten days school and cross-cultural experience.
Combining workshops and informal social interaction, The European Spring School 2009 will focus on the role, activities and challenges faced by the new member states from Central Europe (Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia) in the enlarged European Union and its institutions. Particular attention will be paid to the Czech presidency in the first half of 2009.
Students will be awarded with a certificate of attendance at the end of programme.
The European Spring School admits undergraduate and graduate students of European studies, political science, international relations, economics, sociology, humanities or journalism interested in the region of Central Europe and in the current political and economic problems.
Students interested in participating have to submit the Online Application Form by February 28, 2009.
The programme cost is EUR 650. The fee include tuition, reading materials, housing and 2 meals a day (breakfast and lunch, plus orientation/welcome dinner); Cultural and Social Events (with the exception of concert). Students will have to provide their own travel costs, dinners and other personal expenses.
