European Studies Program Summer 2008

Program outline

The Collegium Hieronymi Pragensis organizes a six-week program in summer 2008 offering students a selection of courses which will familiarize them with the forces that are shaping the European continent. Taught in English, courses focus the Czech culture and civilization in the broader European context.

Eligibility

Applicants must be in good academic standing and normally have completed at least two semesters of coursework at the time of application preferably with overall GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a college course with European content. Exceptions to these criteria are considered on a case by case basis. There is no language pre-requisite for the study at CHP.

Costs

The Summer Program fee is 5350 USD. The fee covers tuition, accommodation, breakfasts, compulsory field trips organized by the program and social events. The charge for reading depends on respective course, but should not exceed 100 USD for two courses.

Application

Students should apply with Northwestern University, UNC, or directly with Collegium Hieronymi Pragensis (for details see the admission webpage of the CHP). Application will be sent to interested students upon request by e-mail. Application deadline is May 2, 2008.
Students will be notified about their acceptance to the CHP Summer 2008 Program by e-mail immediately after the decision of CHP Academic Board is made, by May 9 at the latest.
