In the Process of full membership: Turkey and European Union Relations

Turkey has recently reached a remarkable progress on the way to full EU membership and negotiations with EU were officially launched on October 3, 2005
Turkey wants sincerely to accelerate and complete this process of full EU membership in a rapid and successful manner as much as possible.
In this respect, determination of necessary priorities and in order to put these priorities in action decisive implementation of specific policies like fiscal, monetary and income policies and changes related to the political structure and adjustments in its judicial system are crucial.
In this process of full membership we believe that both sides have some duties and responsibilities to be accomplished.
As an academic institution, GAU would like to contribute in this process by organizing a symposium to examine and discuss the current issues and problems within the framework of the negotiation between Turkey and EU.
