Participants on this program receive twelve to sixteen hours of instruction per week devoted to their individual language learning needs, either in individual tutorials or small classes.
All language classes are conducted in the department of Russian as a Foreign Language at the Russian State Pedagogical University or the Moscow International University. In addition, heritage participants may attend regular classes in numerous academic departments at their host universities.
Specific courses are tailored to meet individual student requests; most focus on the development of reading and writing skills, phonetics, and vocabulary development. Advanced students may also attend courses in literature, cultural studies, history, politics and other topics depending on schedules and availability.
