Cultural identity and the democratic standards: integration processes in Serbia

The paper should show that the characteristics of the various cultural identities could be fitted in with the general standards – the differences could be organically included in the whole that that makes their sense possible. The global sense of identity transformations in need of the freedom as well as in need of a real democracy, which means an overcoming of the mechanisms  of instrumental reasoning and the usurpation of the power. The process of cultural transformation demands conscious efforts that make it possible for us to have an identity and the value of our human standards.
