As part of the 600th anniversary of Polish-Turkish relations the Department of Turkish Studies and Inner Asian Peoples of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Warsaw in cooperation with Warsaw Center of Yunus Emre Institute are organizing the Third International Congress of Turkology "600 Years of Polish-Turkish Relations – Research on Turkology Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, 25-27th June 2014.
The main focus of the Third International Congress of Turkology will be modern studies and research on the history, culture and language of Turkey and Turkic peoples. Turkology is usually understood as language and literature studies, but nowadays as an interdisciplinary branch it encompasses fields and specialities of humanities as well as sciences research. In 2014 we would like to give special field for the discussion on the history of Polish and Turkish relations. We also hope to create space for exchange of our experiences in Turkish studies as well as for finding common ways and methods of solving our content-related and other essential problems. The aim of the 2014 meeting is also to consider future perspectives for our studies and work.

Symposium will be held at the building of Stary BUW (the Old Lubrary) University of Warsaw, Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, Warsaw.
Deadline for applications and abstracts in English: 28th February 2014.
Acceptance letters from the Organizers will be delivered before 31th March 2014.
Deadline for papers in English or Turkish with abstracts in English: 30th April 2014.
Deadline for registration fee – not later than: 15th May 2014.

Papers and abstracts should be written and presented in English or Turkish.
Symposium will be organized as a series of panel meetings. Papers will be delivered as 15-20-minute presentations followed by discussions.
