On March 20, 2015, „Przystanek Historia” - the IPN Education Center in Warsaw (Marszałkowska 21/25 street) will become a venue for a meeting of scholars working the project entitled „East European Migrations during the Cold War”. This project managed by Anna Mazurkiewicz is a part of a larger entity - the IPN Central Research Project „Polish Political Emigration 1939-1990” directed by Sławomir Łukasiewicz.
Members of the research team from eight countries will discuss preliminary results of their queries related to the current state of research, as well as present the locations of major archival collections essential for carrying out of the above mentioned project. The final outcome of this stage of research will be published in an edited volume by the end of this year.
The meeting will proceed in English. The program (downloadable below) consists of two parts: conference papers, followed by discussion -- open to the public (9:00-15:30) and a closed work meeting of the research team members (16:30-18:00).
Individuals interested in attending the conference sessions are required to register by sending an e-mail to: slawomir.lukasiewicz@ipn.gov.pl by February 28.
