Description

The CIJ Investigative Journalism Conference offers training for journalists, NGO workers, researchers, academics and students - anyone who wants to advance their investigative skills.
We will be offering lectures, talks and hands on workshops from data journalism to understanding company accounts, from covert filming to story-based investigations.

The event will be the usual mixture of keynote lectures and discussions, talks and hands-on workshops. The difference this year is that all keynote talks will take place on Saturday 5 July. Delegates lunch and networking party will take place on Saturday too. Friday and Sunday will focus on the training and workshops, with the timetable containing five strands as usual.

Booking options include a 'Full three day' ticket or a 'Conference only ticket' for Saturday only. Prices available in the booking section.

We are delighted to announce that Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist Dana Priest of the Washington Post, will be speaking at the 2014 Conference and Summer School.

  • Aron Pilhofer, Associate Managing Editor of Digital Strategy at The New York Times will give us a glimpse of the future of digital journalism.
  • David Donald - world's leading data journalism trainer and practitioner. (The Centre for Public Integrity).
  • Julian Assange and Sarah Harrisson of Wikileaks (both by Skype).
  • Blogger, Brown Moses (Eliot Higgins) will be talking about how he's become an internationally renouned expert on the weapons used in the conflict in Syria without leaving his house in Leicester.
