East European Quarterly (EEQ) is an academic peer-reviewed journal which publishes original articles in the disciplines of East European politics, sociology, economics, history and international relations. In geographical terms, Eastern Europe covers the entire post-communist region, Russia, countries of the former Soviet Union and the Balkans. The journal promotes works that make relevant contributions to scientific knowledge. Due to the fact that the publication addresses a wide range of academics we encourage presentation of research to be made at a level where it is understandable to a broad audience.
EEQ publishes original scholarship in several forms: research articles, book reviews about recent publications with a regional focus, notes about the use of direct democracy at national level, thematic special issues.
