Brief description: The Cultural Heritage Management & Sustainable Development postgraduate programme offers students a postgraduate opportunity to examine the growing demand in Europe and around the world for trained professionals who possess the skills and education to examine the concepts and relevance of cultural heritage and the sustainable, functioning systems meant to preserve and protect cultural heritage for future generations.
The programme supplies a solid base of interdisciplinary specialization regarding the three aspects of a broad body of knowledge commonly called cultural heritage, management and sustainable development.
The Institute encourages and conducts research that integrates theoretical and practical studies, responds rapidly to changing social and economic conditions, and contributes at a high level to international political, social, economic and cultural life. Internationally recognized for its top quality research by the European Commission, ISES was designated a Jean Monnet European Centre of Excellence in 2010 and awarded a UNESCO Chair in Cultural Heritage Management and Sustainable Development in 2012. The Centre for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies established in 2014 promotes socially relevant research in the humanities and social sciences. The Institute thus is continuously expanding with its core faculty and affiliated researchers into a leading European think tank and research centre, providing a home for the minds of the future to grow.
Basic requirements for application to the program:
1. Completed bachelor's degree prior to enrolling;
2. Advanced level English language certificate (TOEFL 79-80 iBT/213 CBT/550 PBT points, Cambridge Advanced Certificate, IELTS min. 6.0 overall band.) or any other relevant English language diplomas;
3. A fully completed application package.
