The London School of Economics and Political Science invites submissions for a PhD symposium on modern and contemporary South East Europe. A main objective of the symposium is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas between young scholars currently undertaking research on the region.
The objective is now to compose a special issue on “EU-Russia Relations through International Society Theory” in Journal of Contemporary European Research (JCER) Summer 2011.
The workshop will focus on the way in which internationalization of economics and politics affects domestic interests to shape national and other forms of identity.
The main purpose of the conference is to analyze the impact of the global economic crisis, and in particular the vulnerability of Eastern Europe to external shocks.
