Description

The open space (square, garden, shore, Internet) has functioned throughout history as primary position for the core changes or continuity in a society. The urban open spaces, like parks, green spaces, streets, urban squares, are by the definition places that exist outside the home and workplace and are generally accessible by members of the public. It fosters resident interaction and opportunities for contact and proximity. Also, by its definition, it is public, a touchstone for critical theory in relation to philosophy, urban geography, visual art, cultural studies, social studies and urban design.
Throughout the history, open public space has been used for mass protests, revolutions, celebrations, place to experience victories and defeats. It is here where anonymous privacy gets in touch with the common openness. Lately, not only physical space, but also cyber space has developed this notion further.
