The Balkan Conference of SMEs – Sofia 2016

Program

We would like to inform you that our Association for Assistance of Small and Medium Enterprises – United Business Clubs (UBC) with the support of the European Small Business Alliance (ESBA), Southeast European Cooperative Initiative (SECI) and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) is organizing “The Balkan Conference of SMEs – Sofia 2016” scheduled for 23th of June 2016 from 9 a.m. to 18 p.m. at Sofia Hotel Balkan.


This event is organized by the In the course of the conference seminars and discussions will be held on the following themes:

  • To turn the disadvantages into advantages: the Balkans – a serious future factor in the European technological and industrial development.
  • EU funds and programmes – partnerships between the Balkan SMEs, local authorities, universities and research centres; project preparation and management
  • EU funding for SMEs in the area of security and antiterrorism
  • The “Juncker Plan” and the EFSI
  • Financial instruments for stimulating the internationalization of SMEs
  • Tourism – the third economic sector in Europe in terms of importance and income; cooperation between SMEs and the Balkan municipalities in the field of tourism.

How to participate to the Event

Representatives of SMEs, NGOs and local authorities (municipalities) from all Balkan countries have been invited. The list of the official guestst consists of representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament, the Bulgarian authorities, the foreign diplomatic missions in Bulgaria and the presidents of paneuropean, transnational and national organizations.

Expected number of participants: 400-500.
