IOS Regensburg is an interdisciplinary area studies center affiliated with the University of Regensburg. It explores economic and historical developments in East and Southeast Europe in a global perspective. Apart from research it provides policy advice both within Germany and internationally. The institute was founded in 2012 by merging the Osteuropa-Institut and the Südost-Institut.
Situated on beautiful Lake Starnberg, right between Munich and the mountain range, APB Tutzing has a reputation for organizing social sciences conferences and workshops. Further information on the program is available here.
We invite scholars from economics and related disciplines to submit extended abstracts or full papers (preferred). Topics include, but are not limited to:
Preference will be given to papers focusing on East and Southeast Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Submissions to summeracademy@ios-regensburg.de should include a short CV containing your contact details (name, affiliation, email address) and an extended abstract (maximum 2,000 words) or a full paper.
Submission deadline: April 15, 2015.
Accepted participants will be notified early in May 2015. Complete accepted papers are expected by July 1, 2015.
The IOS/APB/EACES Summer Academies on Central and Eastern Europe aim to bring together doctoral students and Postdocs in a workshop atmosphere. The number of participants is limited to 15. The workshop language is English. The Hans Raupach Award will honor the author(s) of a paper of exceptional merit.
Conference fee: 50 € (including single room accommodation for two nights and all meals)
